100th Anniversary of the AdAmAn NYE Fireworks

Yes, there will be fireworks off Pikes Peak, America’s Mountain, for the new year!
As the story goes, on Dec. 22, 1922, Colorado Springs 5 local mountaineers, decided that ringing in the New Year by climbing Pikes Peak, in winter, at night. But this wasn’t just any night – this was for one of the most special nights of the year – the very end of it – New Year’s Eve.

This has now become a long Colorado tradition, adding a special member each year to the climb, and celebrating at the top with fireworks for all of Colorado Springs to enjoy! This mountainous club is now called Pikes Peak AdAmAn Club, and you can find out more about them aquí.

Weather permitting with clear skies – get a good look at Pikes Peak’s New Years’ Eve night and celebrate the start of the New Year with the rest of The Springs! At 9 pm they will launch fireworks to honor the original 5 climbers, at midnight they will ring in the new year!
